We are proud to announce that our colleague, Roxana Mandrutiu, has been invited as a speaker at the Regional Conference Environmental Accountability: When Law takes Over organised by Renewables and Environmental Regulatory Institute (RERI) in Belgrade, which will be taking place in 24-26 April 2024. The Conference aims to strengthen dialogue and networking between legal practitioners (lawyers, prosecutors, judges), NGOs, academia and public institutions.

The topic Roxana will explore  is revolving around Romania’s  first climate change case, the tactics to be employed in climate litigation and how the recent ECtHR ruling in KLIMASENIORINNEN case can bolster the Romanian case?

Other key topics are: industrial pollution and protection of the right to clean, healthy and sustainable environment;environmental impact assessment and project splitting; legal standing of NGO’s in the permitting procedures; criminal responsibility in environmental matters.
